Instead, take them four at a time to Calissa Sedgwick, a collector in Ascalon City. Select the Fur Square reward. This rare crafting material sells well to players, and if no one's buying, you can also sell it to Menth, the Rare Material Trader in the city, for 200-300g, depending on the economy. If the sale price is low at the time, wait a few hours and check back.
Since your quest status doesn’t update until all of them are dead, if you return to Lakeside County afterward, you’ll find the Charr have respawned, and Rurik will be charging them again.
