This really isn't your fault Blizzard. I have played your game since beta and have had many, many memorable moments and good times that I cherish.
I'm not sure how the community got this bad, but at this point.. unless you are "One of them" there really is no way to tolerate the people who play WoW as of today.
You cannot make a forum post without "I disagree and thats why you're an idiot" "umadbro?" "lolscrub look at your gems/enchants" etc. The people on these forums are like rabid angsty wolves, they smell frustration and flock to it, doing whatever they can to push that person past the breaking point. I seem to recall at one point, a GM just flat out leaving the forums because of this kind of behavior.
Trade chat has gotten completely out of hand at this point. I could deal with the occasional "Anal" spam and even though Thunderfury was funny 2 years ago, sometimes I get a chuckle now as well, but its gone beyond that. Now, its common to see excessively lewd comments, racism, and generally just disgusting/insulting things being said in trade, Not to mention the oh so common flame war between 2 or more people who seem to have the maturity level of a fetus. A curious new player new to the world asks a question nicely in trade chat and they are trolled to the ground.
This is one thing that I can say Blizzard, that you may be responsible for..
The Dungeon Finder tool. I won't go too far into this because its pretty obvious that there really is no incentive to be nice in a random dungeon because you will most likely never see those people again. This combined with the majority of people having no conscious at all makes for some exciting dungeon runs, where people will go out of their way to ruin it for you just for a cheap laugh.
Well, that's really all I'm going to say now. Thank you Blizzard for making a great game and thank you to those who actually take other people into consideration.
