Three years after the official launch, AION finally turned to free-to-play in North America, along with the release of the massive 3.0 patch. Both new and veteran AION gamers can either visit the "Truly-Free" website to learn details about the business model or head to the original AION site to sign up and download the game.

Guess most of you have already known what's new and what's changed in AION 3.0 and if not, you can check out the full patchnotes here. For new players who just join in the world of Atreia and want to know how to level up fast and fly to the new zones as soon as possible, the publisher has prepared for them a huge guide which tells every detail of every quest. Before Atreian Atlas, NCsoft has introduced the C.U.B.E for AION's new business model, and to balance the population in all servers, the publisher have done a server merge.
